Shortly after the start of production of the “standardised” light truck with the military designation L1500 – in versions A as 4×4 and S as simpler 4×2, other versions were developed using the same chassis. Version 4×4 marked as L1500A began to be used more and more for the production of cars designed to transport infantry. Instead of the body and the driver’s cab, a combined open space was created, which could be covered by a canvas roof. It had a rather unusual shape at the front and extended beyond the width of the windshield with frame. The vehicles were very popular, especially for their good off-road performance. Gradually, he reached all the battlefields where the Wehrmacht fought – from Africa, through Italy, to the eastern and western fronts.
During the construction of our new kit, we again moved the design a bit further. This applies both to the design of the kit itself and to the construction of the instructions. It now has 8 pages. The construction process is divided into a number of steps. The model is made in great detail. It shares only one frame with the L1500 truck containing wheels. The others, including the chassis frame, are new. The model can only be built from plastic parts of the kit. As a bonus, we added alternative wheels and a sheet of etched parts.
The decals allow the construction of three cars – two from the Western Front and one from Italy.
